When you begin your program at Irongate Recovery in Knoxville, TN, you’ll be participating with peers who will help support you. During these tough times, it’s important to know our program is focused on providing our participants with positivity and encouragement. Living with addiction isn’t easy, but when you begin a program of recovery, you’ll be one step closer to a brighter future.

our simple process

  • • Pre-Entry
  • After a pre-entry form is submitted we review each one and follow up promptly.
  • • Screening
  • We do an initial screening via phone or face to face to ensure we can meet the needs of the individual and we are a proper fit for the situation.
  • • Program Entry
  • We coordinate an appropriate time to come to the house and get settled in.
  • • Commitment
  • The journey in recovery begins with a conscious decision to learn a new way of living free from substance abuse.

entrance criteria

  • Must be 18 years of age or above.
  • Must speak English.
  • Must have a history of substance abuse or alcoholism.
  • Must be willing to participate in a program of recovery.

who cannot participate

while we encourage those living with addiction to seek out recovery, we cannot accept you into our program if you:
  • Have clinical manifestations that meet criteria for a more intense level of care (acutely psychotic or a danger to self or others)
  • Have severe permanent deficits in recent memory, attention, concentration, who cannot, attend effectively to activities of daily living and whose cognitive impairment prevents them from understanding and participating in the program.
  • Have ongoing medical issues, which require a more intensive level of monitoring and care than can be provided by Irongate Recovery.
  • Are pregnant or think you may be pregnant.
  • Are on the SO registry.
